UX/UI ONYX ARBOR

Onyx Arbor App

Conceptual App design developed in Figma

Project Overview

Onyx Arbor is a conceptual app developed in Figma. It's purpose is to improve the safety and efficiency of lumber operations. The app is designed to server as a monitoring aid, a emergency alert system, a communication system, and scan for viable trees within the area. The app works in conjunction with drones to monitor in real time the teams working across a lumber site. The drones are also used to scan regions of the forest to find viable trees to be marked for felling. The app is built to showcase these systems in a rigid flow. The mobile app is designed for the individual works on a site, while the tablet is designed for the team leader to manage the drones and monitor in real time. The lumber industry is incredibly dangerous and accidents can be life threatening. The goal of this app is to improve worker safety while improving the overall efficiency of the work site.

As new risks emerge, business owners in the lumber industry need to ensure their teams have a plan to address these concerns. With the right best practices in place, including regular maintenance, housekeeping, good hiring and training measures, and a relationship with a trusted expert in risk mitigation for the lumber industry, lumber businesses can continue to reduce their risks and maintain safe workplaces.
